April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time in Tokyo's Olympics, will try to earn her third medal. More than that though Ross is aiming to capture the first Olympic gold. This may be the last chance she'll ever have at age 39. However, she's convinced that top prizes are in reach. Ross was reported by NBC Boston as saying that when you perform at your very best, even if you perform well, you will win the gold. Additionally, I'm going be relying on a little bit of good luck. Ross born in 1982 and was raised within Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started playing athletics at Newport Harbor High School. She went on to compete in many sports at Newport Harbor High School. While a prep student, she competed in the indoor game of volleyball, as well as basketball and running track. She stood out however during this game. When she played in her college volleyball season, according to her college biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. She was named the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. Her skills in volleyball brought her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in the year 2000. Ross is playing alongside Klineman since the year 2017, but Ross's beach game had been established long before this. She has won major competitions with different players. The other has become an iconic player in the world of volleyball. From 2007 to 2013, she was partnered by Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Alongside Kessy Ross was an ace in the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009. They eventually won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the group that could take home the gold. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. The duo won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross was a student athlete with the Trojans of USC prior to starting her professional career. She was a player in high school, as well as some years before she hit the beaches as a professional. Ross's time in the Trojans was impressive. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she earned Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year honors and was also an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to reach the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss in her sophomore, yet was successful in achieving the All-American award. In her last two seasons within the team, she guided the Trojans up to the summit of the mountain winning consecutive national championships. She was a fantastic volleyball player and won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player in the NCAA. Ross, who was a USC international relations student was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross did not get to see her daughter's climb to the beach volleyball spotlight. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001. Ross was still an USC sophomore. Her breast cancer had been diagnosed. However, she keeps her mother in her his heart. And Margie remains a source of inspiration to her on the beaches and throughout life.
